The Lord of Stars

“Snuggle close, my little one, I’ll tell you of the Lord of Stars, who long ago, in a quiet dark, decided to dream a world for us. His voice was soft, his heart so grand, ‘I’ll make it bright,’ he said with a smile, and flung his twinkles across the sky. He sent his helpers, glowing bits of light, like fireflies dancing in the night. They scooped up dirt, they hummed a tune, and built us rivers, a sun, a moon. With love as warm as this blanket here, he grew tall trees and a deer so dear, hoping we’d play in his big, wide yard. He looked back, my sweet, to days gone by, and whispered, ‘Old tales can still fly high.’ Then peeked ahead, to times like now, ‘You’ll dream big dreams—I’ll show you how.’ His starseed fell, like you, my star, each one brave, no matter how far, to grow with love, his favorite spark.
